Privacy Policy
Last updated 26 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Gentle Snippets, a macOS application provided by Alina Brynko under the name Appscode Lab, handles information. It covers the current Mac application and our handling of app-related support requests.
Your prompt library stays on your Mac. The app has no developer account system, advertising, tracking or analytics SDK. Apple processes optional purchases. Information you choose to send to support is handled separately.
Who is responsible
The provider of Gentle Snippets is Alina Brynko, operating as Appscode Lab. For privacy questions or requests, contact support@appscodelab.dev or use our contact page.
Your local library
Gentle Snippets stores your prompts, text and code blocks, folders, tags, favourites, attachments, version history, recent variable values and preferences locally in its application container on your Mac. The developer does not receive or have remote access to this library.
The app reads files you choose to import or attach, and may keep local copies and file-access permissions so you can use them later. It does not upload these files to an Appscode Lab server.
Collection, tracking and advertising
The current application does not transmit your library to the developer, include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs, track you across other apps or websites, or sell or share personal information for targeted advertising. A separate Gentle Snippets account is not required.
Apple may process App Store, device or diagnostic information under its own settings and policies. We do not integrate a separate crash-reporting service into Gentle Snippets.
Purchases through Apple
Optional Pro purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. The app verifies signed purchase and entitlement information to enable paid features and restore eligible purchases. This may include the product, transaction status and subscription expiry information provided by Apple.
Gentle Snippets does not receive your payment-card details or send transaction information to a developer-operated backend. Your prompt content is not sent to Apple to complete a purchase. Apple handles payment records, refunds and Apple Account information under Apple’s Privacy Policy.
AI services and other applications
AI model and service names are organisational labels. Selecting one does not connect to that service, submit prompts or generate AI responses. When you copy content into another app or AI service, that service’s privacy policy applies to the information you provide to it.
Backups, exports and sharing
Backups and exports are local files created in locations you choose. You control whether to share them. If you choose a cloud-synced folder or external service, that provider may process the files according to its own terms.
Exported files, imported source files and older backups are separate copies. Deleting a prompt or attachment in the app does not automatically remove those copies. Protect backup files appropriately if they contain personal or confidential material.
Your choices and deletion
You can edit, copy, export and delete your library content in the app. Items placed in Trash can remain there until permanently deleted. Backups and exports must be managed separately. To remove all local application data, contact support if you need help identifying the app container; uninstalling the app alone may leave local data on your Mac.
Because we do not hold a server-side copy of your library, we cannot access, recover or erase it remotely. You can request access, correction or deletion of information you sent directly to support.
Support messages
If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, message, app or operating system version and any files you send. We use it to respond, troubleshoot and keep relevant support records. Do not include passwords, card details or private prompts unless they are necessary and you choose to share them.
Email and website contact services may process these messages on our behalf. The website’s hosting and optional contact-form delivery are described in the Website Privacy Policy. We do not use support messages for advertising.
Retention, security and your rights
Your local data remains on your device until you remove it. We retain support correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to handle the request, resolve related issues and meet applicable legal obligations. You may ask us to delete it, subject to any records we are required to keep.
We use reasonable safeguards for information we handle, but no device, email system or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. You are responsible for securing your Mac and copies of your library.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing of personal information, request portability, withdraw consent where applicable, or complain to a relevant supervisory authority. Contact support@appscodelab.dev to exercise applicable rights. We may need to verify your request without asking for unnecessary information.
Children’s privacy
Gentle Snippets is a general-purpose productivity tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information through the app. If you believe a child has sent personal information to support, contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the application or our practices change. The date above identifies the latest version. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate. New services that change how personal information is handled will be reflected in this policy and relevant App Store disclosures.
